The top layer consists of three inches of 5.3 lbs. The visco-elastic foam that has a listed ILD rating of 14 and the bottom layer of the mattress consists of 5 inches of 3.5lb., non-visco elastic, and high density polyurethane. It includes a cover that is contains a soft, cotton-like material that is flexible. To put a stop to cancel the warranty, Tempur-Pedic mandates that their establishment be purchased with their mattress.

A Tempur-Pedic mattress original mattress is eight inches thick and has two layers. This time new companies are manufacturing a two-layer 3lbs-8lbs visco-elastic material and several companies even recommend other types of materials that are layered the whole time the mattress.
