Greetings fellow earthings,

New guy on the block here...just bought a 2004 4wd Rodeo with the 3.5 L Direct Injection engine. It has about 22k miles on it. Couldn't be happier!!! I had been searching for a replacement for my 2001 Rodeo (2wd 3.2L) which was totalled in the flood during hurricane Isabel a couple of years back, much to my chagrin.

Anywho, I'm looking forward to being involved in the Isuzu forum and learning more aboutthe vehicles and the rugged individualists who drive them...

AN USE ONLY THE REC FLUIDS FOR THE TRANS,

Thanks for the advice Guru. Yes, the power is just great. I thought the power in my 2001 3.2 was adequate, but the D.I. motor really goes when I want it to...I'm knocking down about 22 mpg as well...better than the 3.2L. More power, better mileage, lower emissions...a win-win-win situation! With the engine beingsuch a limited production piece, Iwonder what the aftermarket parts availability will be. I'm guessing there won't be a whole lot available...but then again, it's a great performer out-of-the box.
