Hey, I'm Jake. I just got a 1990 Isuzu Trooper (2.8L V6 Auto). It has 237K miles, so a new engine may be in it's future. Any Ideas?

I had the same problem with an 88 Cherokee. Replaced everything. The little black box was the problem. If the timing was off, you would still get some poping and sputtering and maybe a backfire or two.
