Default New guy with some questions..

Hi, new here, so forgive me if I'm doing something wrong.

I'll probably be buying an '89 4x4 pickup with the lil' 4 banger for basic, farm and some road use, and I'm just looking for some opinions. Good buy for $800 with a rather rough body? And the main question, what could this potentially tow - a 3500lb sailboat? Thanks!

well i used my trooper to tow my 74 dodge 4x4 over 40 miles .only problems i had was couldnt see any thing be hind me and i dont think it would have made a corner to great over 25 being other truck was close to 6500 pounds almost double the troopers waight lol. id say make sure the trailer has brakes to be on the safe side but should pull it with no problems

Default LS Spacecab towing

Thanks! I figured it probably would tow it without too much drive train damage a couple of times a year, but thought I'd check to be sure. I have backing plates for the wheels with cylinders, so hopefully I'll get some hydraulic surge brakes on it.

- I guesss I should have mentioned it's an '89 spacecab model.

Thanks agin, Daniel
