I'm glad I found this place!! I'm a bit a of shadetree mechanic in the sense that do 90% of the work to all three of our cars. My wife has a '96 Trooper with 188,000 miles and still running strong, but with a few little ticks (no pun intended...but if you own an older Trooper you understand!).

I'm also restoring an '83 Datsun 280zx.

If by ticks you are refering to the noise[img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]your rockers are not getting enough oil do to pluged oil holes, there is a few threads here that will instruct you on how to remidy this. Welcome and keep posting.[img]smileys/smiley4.gif[/img]
