Engine power loss
Good day all.
I have a 2013 Isuzu Dmax, 2.5l engine. W/ 4jk1-tcx engine. I am experiencing a power loss with the engine. Slow to accelerate, tops out at about 100k, and struggles to hold it, does not feel like limp mode though.
I had the vehicle scanned many times, no one can pin down the problem. I found a ratch fix by unplugging the MAF, and it runs like a beast now!!! And yes, I know I should not, engine idles rough and drinks diesel, but the alternative is no power!! The MAF is good, I think, cause scans show the MAF readings good.
The reading on the MAP sensor is 9.9inHg constant, but I cannot find the sensor to check. Some 4jk1 engines have the sensor on the intake pipe just above the throttle body, but mine does not have it. So I don't know if there is one hidden somewhere else. And I don't see any O2 sensors on the exhaust manifold or anywhere on the exhaust system.
Any info will be appreciated!!
Thanks!
