4JX1 Tech2 click test - first click strong then no more
Hi, I have a problem with number 3 injector on a Trooper 3.0TD 4JX1.
Tech 2 returns error code P0203 Not Present Injector 3 Control Circuit.
Originally thought it was just an injector failure, but have had a replacement 3 times. The symptom is that after replacing with a new Isuzu injector, the same fault re-occurs, after 5 months, then 5 miles after a second new injector was fitted, then 35 miles after a third used injector was fitted. Tech 2 click test gives 5 strong clicks on 1, 2, and 4, but one strong click then either faint or no clicks on 3. Sometimes, it seems to clear intermittently when on lots of throttle, and, also when doing a click test. Sometimes the engine check light comes on straight away, sometimes after 30 secs.
Injectors were replaced each time by Old Mill Motors, so I doubt it's anything to do with the fitting. It feels like something electrical. The wiring from the loom at the RHS engine bay into the rocker cover has been repaired at some time in the past. The connector was removed and the wires are now crimped. There is also one solder joint in one wire further along. Running the engine and fiddling with the crimps has no effect, nor while doing the click test.
Has anyone got a Trooper 3.0TD year 2000 4JX1 wiring diagram?
Any ideas or suggestions? Please
