2001 isuzu rodeo ls
Hello,
I test drove a 2001 ISUZU RODEO LS today, it was a nice suv. The problem I have is when I placed it in 4 wheel drive to test it. while driving it when i went to turn it made alot of noise and seemed to drag or loose power. Of course the dealer said thats because you was driving it on pavement. He said I looked in the book it said if you drive that with 4 wheel drive engaged it will act like that. Now im not stupid and have drove 4 wheel drive before and have test drove other models in the past week, driving to same area. None of them made the noises or acted up, any ideas on what it could be? Its a nice suv and if I knew it was not something major I might buy it. But would be nice to know what im looking at. Thanks for any help/advice.

i dont think it should make any noise but my trooper on pavement when in 4 wheel drive when you turn it will bind up and not want to move same with my big dodge it will actually try and walk side ways . what kind of noise was it ?like a crunching noise if so its probably just bad half shafts id look under it and see if the boots are ripped
