I saw your post and pic(s), and my heart stopped. I was hoping that was my baby, but closer inspection revealed a automatic.
It's been since 2006 when I had to trade her in SanAngelo TX for a new Ford Focus.
I am reaching out to anyone who might have info. Your beauty looks exactly like her. Yes, even the painted bumpers! I Had hers painted (remember '88s still had black bumpers).
Sorry if this is bothersome I am pulling out all the stops in trying to find her!

Hi. Sorry its not your baby. Believe me, i pulled out all the stops in 2018 to find an impulse. Responding to old ads, and to ads that sold already. Lol. I now have 5 impulses. Yay!!. The car is actually a 5 speed now and in 89 the bumpers came painted to match . There are plenty out their you will just have to come to terms that it will most likely be a project car , but that’s ok most of us restored some cars back to life .
