I picked up my new Ascender and after a few days I noticed the radio has alot of interferance from the engine,power windows and the reception is horrible even for local stations,AM & FM. When I give it gas I watch the Tach and when it rises I can hear it on the radio,same thing with the power windows. Has anyone had this problem?

 

Well, i dont have an ascender but, I am a Low Voltage electrician, i work with fire alarm systems mainly, And if we have a partially skinned wire grounded to a piece of conduit or anything else metal , sounders (Speakers) will pick up a buzzing noise when ever lights or other electronic devices are on in the area , I speculate you probably have a speaker wire that is skinned or just has a bit of copper exposed , and maybe grounded to the frame of your truck. I am not necessarily an expert in the car audio field, so i could be wrong .
