I have a 1999 Rodeo LS 4x4, with the big 6 engine in it, I've had it over a year now and bought it from it's second owner. When I bought it the guy told me that there was problems with the fuel gauge, but it never bothered me, because I'd just fill it up at 250 miles. I'm going to buy a new truck and give this to my mom, so I do want to get it fixed.
What happens is that after i fill it up, it does show full, but only for about 50 miles, then it shows empty and the low fuel light will either stay on or flash. Repeats at every fill up, and when I crank it up, the light is flashing. Anyone have any idea what this could be, and how I could fix it?
Thanks,

IT IS A BAD SENDING UNIT AND ON SOME THE PCM ECM WILL NEED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. YOU WILL NOT BEALBE TO FIX THIS YOUR SELF YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. YOU CAN REPLACE THE SENDING BUT THE DEALER WILL HAVE TO PROGRAM YOUR ECM.
