The Isuzu D-MAX, already famous for its durability and fuel economy has beaten back the world’s top competition by placing first among all diesel pickups in the Dakar 2009 rally which was held in Argentina and Chile from January 3 to 18.

 

But not for sale in the US. Just like the colorado and canyon do not have a diesel version. Would be nice if they had a base model with a diesel in the US. And General Motors done scraped that even in the full size half tons.

Just want a regular cab with a five speed, diesel and as striped down a model as can get. 4x4 would be nice too with a sfa icing on the cake. (solid front axle)
