wont start :(

i have an 89 amigo, and i was driving itthe other day and it just quit running while i was driving, and now it wont start at all.we think it's the fuel pump because it does not make that humming noise when u try to start it... any ideas?

sound s like the pump but before you replace it check the connector on the tank, its on the side only two wires(red wire and black wire)its on the passenger side just behind the wheel inside the frame, there was some problems of high resisance in connector, causing it to burn and loosing connection, if that is the problem you can just staight wire it or the proper way is to replace the connector but isuzu does not service just the connector, you could make one

Yeah, dad ran a new wire and it would spark when it touched the relay so it was definitely getting power, but the car still wouldn't start... so i'm guessing it is the pump..
