Why is everything wet.

Why is everything wet.
I bought a 1998 Amigo yesterday. 84k. Sweet little truck.
I bought it in the chilly morning, and it didn't reek. I parked the car in my driveway, came back to it in the warm afternoon, and whoa: powerful smell.
Later in the day I realized the passenger floor was wet. I tried drying t with a towel a little.
Now it's the next day, and I put some baking soda on the floor because of the stench, and that's when I realized that the floor is actually more wet than before. It doesn't dry.
It hasn't rained. Maybe the seller washed it, but still, it should be drying! Not getting more wet.
What the heck, you guys. What's up.
