weatherstrip
#2
Well, I have a '92 Amigo, and I found an aftermarket hardtop in a junkyard for $125
Not sure if they are all the same, but mine has six latches inside, with catches which screw into existing holes on the body, two of which require removing the soft top support assembly.you also need to remove all the snap studs from the body.
The top is made of fiberglass, and basically sits ontop of and around the body, with simple foam pads for the horizontal sections, and, really, nothing for the rest.. just the rubber thats already on the body.not sure if this is factory design.. like i said its from a junkyard.
Works fine though.. only leaks ive had is when i go through an automatic carwash. It has warped a bit over the years.. ive used cheapo sticky-back foam weatherstrip to seal up the spaces.
