Hail fellow Amigos.


I am having a problem with my 1999 Amigo.


It makes this low pitched sound (like an ongoing"swish") when I press on the accelerator-and when I am about to step off it. It makes this sound when I first start the car and then only when I press the gas or take my foot off it.


It happened all of a sudden-after I got a LED underbody kit installed. Took it back to to the place-and they say that they didn''t even mess in the area the sound is coming from (back of the radiator / near the compressor).


Does anyone know what this is about?

check for any air leaks or loose hoses. even though they said they didnt mess with that area dont take their word for it. you never know what happens when you take her to a shop. thats why i do all the work myself. led and neon installs are really easy to do. never trust anyone with your car.

 

You were absolutely right-it was a loose air hose-and THEY did do it.


Well-problem solved no-harm done. I agree-I am keeping my car in my own hands from now own-when I can do it myself.
