ABS problem
#1
My ABS light has been staying on. It's a '92 amigo with the rear wheel ABS system. I checked the codes and found it to be a closed rear wheelanti-lock valve switch. I'm figuring that the switch has probably corrodedand is looking like a closed circuit.Has anyone experienced this before. I don't know if it's as easy as putting a new switch in or if it's more involved and requires a trip to the dealer. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi I don't know if this will help but I have the same problem with my ABS light. I have a 94 with the rear ABS. I traced my problem to the ABS control module which is located under the passenger seat. I hate ABS so thats all the further I took it. Replacing the module may correct the problem since the switch is controled by that module. I suspect that my module went bad from too much water getting in it. If you decide you don't want ABS it is not too hard to remove the in-dash bulb. Thats what I did.
