What have I done?
#1
I have a 1997 Rodeo V6 4WD that is pinging PO305 on the CEL
(5th cylinder misfire). I am not amechanic but I tried to check things in some order. Pulled the plug and is had motor oil all over it (the portion that actually sparks, not the outside). There is no oil in the coolant and the other cylinders are not having trouble; I assume the head gasket is ok). I bought a cheap plug cover (I think they are more for 2 cycle engines) that goes over the plug and takes the oil while the spark plug works internally. It sucks but I was 45 miles from home. It did ok and is home now and parked. Any ideas?
