98 Rodeo - alternate engines
I have a broken down 98 Rodeo that I'm currently trying to sell. (I blew a rod in it)
I've heard these engines are notorious for oil leaks and head gasket issues, and was wondering what other engines I would be able to install. It has a manual transmission. I was thinking, if I can find a cheap enough engine, I may keep it, but if not, this would probably be good info to add to my craigslist ad:

Thanks for any advice you have.

I have a 98 with 218,000 mls and found that my engine will not run well on regular motor oil past 1000 mls. I use high mileage motor oil but still have to change the oil every 2000 - 3000 miles. The engine itself however only uses 1/2 quart every 2000 miles so i am not complaining. i think this is the best engine they made personally.
