My trooper has a issue the has to be fixed now winter is upon us!! only been one or two cold morning so far and each morning (no start) til it either warms up outside orI keep trying to turn it over, after a fewloud and bumpyshakesit finallycatches, then the trans light is blinking I let it warm up then turn it off and restart and everything is perfect runs great, also after one of those cold morning battery was dead. If anyone could help or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

The fuel filter is located on the surface of the inside of the passenger side frame rail about where the rear door is.... Hope this helps.

I would suggest you check the output of your alternator too. It should be charging at around 13+ volts. Troopers are very likely to have problems if the alt is not working right. Check the grounds and clean them up....one on each valve cover/firewall, one next to battery bracket, one on harness bracket near oil pressure sending units. Probably more but these are the easy ones to find.
