will a 96 trooper automatic transmission fit on a 99 trooper
 

a friend of mine's trooper (1999) has a transmission problem, and he wanted to know if a 1996 automatic transmission would fit and work on his 1999 trooper? Any information is appreciated.

i believe so but you have to keep in mind that the 96 had a 3.2l engine vs the 99 had a 3.5l engine so if your buying one check the transmission to make sure its what you need before you buy it.
