New to the forums. 1990 Trooper II LS, V6 2.6L Manual. Suspect Head leak. Lost a lot of coolant. No leaks, just burns it up. Runs wicked rough. Looking for a good place to buy a used or reman engine. Googled and found many but looking for a place someone has experience with that is reputable.

check out attarco.com they import jap motors directly and can get you a low mileage warrantied motor complete for $900 plus core. its the best deal anywhere. a rebuilt motor runs 1300 for the next cheapest option from risingsun.com. if its just the head you can replace the head with the new casting for $400 from most machine shops. just make sure youre not buying a rebuilt old cast head. get the new casting because they fixed the thin spots between the coolant jackets and the exhaust ports between the 2 and 3 cylinders.
