Is only option to get another engine? 95
My 95 Trooper busted the intake hose and I didn't know it then the cylinders would begin to bogg out after running it in accelerate stop then accelerate traffic . It now does it more often any advice? It seems to me its the cylinders shutting down when running through heavy neighborhood traffic and lots of stop signs . Today it did it for driving 6 miles not through traffic but after I left the cafe it started doing it. If I stop at the store mid trip then turn back on its like it got hot while sitting off then starts running real rough and no power hardly. Has anyone had good outcome getting a engine from a salvage yard then fixing it up?
Have you run a compression check? If they're all about equal and over 120ish then the problem likely is something else. If you buy a junkyard motor you should also check the compression before buying. When was the last time the timing belt was replaced?
But I found another engine for far more less price that has had a compression test. I just need to follow up with him about the numbers. This is from a car dealer that my Mother knows and bought her vehicle from, he has the sources so I'll prism purchase through his guy.
I also have a small bronco 2 that I have a brand new engine now for, the mechanics are finally starting the install so I'm going to be focused on it for now and will have to pick up on the isuzu a little later.
thanks fir the help much needed, I had the trans built and can't give up on this Truck.
Thanks
