I just picked up my first Isuzu trooper and was wanting to know a few things.





the trooper is a 1989 Trooper II XLS, 2.6L, 5 speed. 214,000 miles red exterior, grey interior. Even has a front grille guard with bosch off road lights (was told its a factory option)


I picked it up for 80 dollars with a busted timing belt.


I have the head off now getting looked at and rebuilt, the cylinders look fine and there are no marks on the pistons. I am getting the head milled, 3 angle valve job and new valve guides and seals.


My question is what are some common problems and such with these motors and vehicles in general.


How do you lift them?


any aftermarket support?
