My dad just gave his 1991 Isuzu Trooper. The very car that I learned to drive with and pass my driving test in back in 1995. The old girl has 169k miles on her. My dad did allot of work to it over the years. Last year he dumped several grand on a new GM crate motor, Trans, brakes, suspension, bushings and tie rod ends. He was going to use it as a toy be lost interest. It ended up sitting for close to a year until I went back home to Maryland and drove it back to Indiana.

Now that I have it, I would like to get it 100% right. Since the engine swap the thing wont idle from a cold start in warm or cold weather. If you can keep it running for about 5 minutes it will idle fine. I took it to a local garage and they looked at it and couldn''t figure out. They ruled out the fuel pump, fuel filter, computer, IAC, timing and they even put a throttle body on from a working s-10 and that didn''t work. They were at a loss and couldn''t explain it. if you have any advise please toss it my way..

I have been trying to track down parts and accessories but have come up short. I would like to find a brush guard, trailer hitch, weather strip for the doors, rear cargo doors or door skins, and something to patch the front rockers as they are rusted out on both sides.

Thanks in advance.

What GM engine is it? And what wiring harness is used to power the GM EFI. If its throttle body im gonna amuse its late 80s to early 90s. Auto or manual trans?

The original motor was the 2.8 v6 and the replacement is a 2.8 v6. It is Throttle body injected and it is a manual.
