I have a good friend that doesn''t have a computer or computer skills at the moment and I''ve agreed to help him all I can find out some info on his Trooper.

I don''t remember the year but he says it''s a first year model with a very tired 1.9L engine and what we''re trying to find out is if there are any other engines that are a bolt up fit to this SUV.

My background is in Japanese motorcycles and so far I''ve been about 0 help. My suggestion was to get a KEP adapter kit and put a GM V6 in it. That''s more money than he has to spend and he''s hoping to find a suitable replacement in a wrecking yard...

Any suggestions?
