my new isuzu!
i just got a 1988 isuzu trooper LS with a 2.6 four cylinder and a five speed. the truck as 150,000 miles on it and as far as i can tell i am the second owner. the first was some old guy. this thing runs and drives like a top but i have heard that they have a problem with the heads. i will be taking this car on a long road trip and i was wondering if i should do any thing to it. i am already changing all the fluids and the timing belt. should i replace the head gasket or if it is going strong now should i leave it if i dont push it to hard? i have read that if you let the truck warm up when you start it and dont try to push it beond its limits that you will be fine. is this true? thanks for any advice and its good to be part of the club. thanks
i was also wondering if any one has put a 3.1 turbo diesel in a trooper II. they come out of the next gen trooper but if it is posible then that would be sweet. i know any thing is posible id just like to know if im the first one or not. thanks
