I want to replace the stock air filter assembly on my 2000 Trooper to one of the high-flow "cold-air" custom unit modifications, like those sold by Airaid, K&N, etc. I've got them on my other injected vehicles and it makes a big difference in performance and economy.

But when I go online looking for one advertized as made for the Trooper, I strike out, or I get ads for units in the multiple hundreds of dollars. I didn't pay any more than $150 for the others I've installed on other vehicles. ( I usually opt for the product made by Weapon'R, as they have the lowest price I've seen.)

Anyone convert their 3.5 liter Trooper over to this kind of air intake system? How much did it cost, and where did you find the modification kit for sale?
