< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" =text/> </> I have a 88 trooper 4 cycle auto. Starts and runs fine until some sensor relay ect gets hot and shuts it down. It dies and won't start again until what ever it is cools off or resets or something. Is this common? We have had it to a couple of different mechanics and no luck. < src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" =text/> </>It sounds like the igniter module. There are two different no's for your year...... go to myisuzuparts.com and look at distributor illustrations. <TABLE borderColor=#000000 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=1> <T> <TR class=highlightoff> <TD class=partdata align=middle>TROOPER II </TD> <TD class=partdata align=middle>MODULE; DISTR </TD> <TD class=partdata align=middle>8-01979-571-0</TD></TR></T></TABLE> <TABLE borderColor=#000000 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=1> <T> <TR class=highlightoff> <TD class=partdata align=middle>TROOPER II </TD> <TD class=partdata align=middle>MODULE; DISTR </TD> <TD class=partdata align=middle>8-94243-344-0</TD></TR></T></TABLE>Edited by: atfdmike |
</>This ignitor sits right on the top of the engine (valve cover) just behind the large black plastic air intake duct that runs from right to left across the engine compartment. It has a wire that looks like the other spark plug wires that goes to the distributor with the other spark plug wires. Edited by: glennb
