This is my first post here...I just scored a pretty clean 1989 Isuzu Trooper for a song and was wondering:

Will a 1985 Trooper grille (round headlights) fit and function in my 1989 Trooper. I ask because, silly as it may seem...I think the older variant round headlights look great on these 1st generation Troopers.

Any information / advice on this swap would be greatly appreciated.

thats a popular swap and very easy. the round headlight/grille setup directly bolts on with little modification. there is a little wiring mod needed but nothing too hard. check out cardomain and search for 1991 trooper there are several with the conversion
