My grandfather has a 96 4wd Isuzu Trooper that needs new brakes and rotors. Are the front ones just slip on ones or are they pressed on? The car isn't here with us right now but we are hoping I can change them for him but I've never done ones that are pressed on.< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-44";

EDIT: Forgot to say welcome!

</>Hi, to remove the rotor you must also disassemble the hub from the rotor which means that you have to remove the hub assembly and inner and outer bearings, and then remove the bolts holding the hub and disc together. You don't say but I think your Gpa's is a shift on the fly, so it may be a little different than I have done. Go to the site

www.myisuzuparts.com and fill in the right info and you can see an illustration by going to suspension and then front hub an rotor and see how it goes together. There is a similar write up here

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2434079/7to kind of get a feel for what is involved. Regardless, you should plan on examining and repacking the wheel bearings and you may need a special hub nut tool to remove the axle nuts.

It is a bit of a job but if you have worked on spindle nut front axles before you can do it. Plan on replacing the inner seal while you are at it. Use care to not break the ABS magnets too, as they protude once you get the rotor off. Good luck. < =text/> _uacct = "UA-939292-44"; urchinTracker(); </>< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" =text/> </>< =text/> _uacct = "UA-939292-44"; urchinTracker(); </>
