Hey there, I recently purchased a 93 trooper with 3.2 SOHC. The alternator belt recently started squeeling quite badly on start up and when I checked it I noticed it was loose. I then tried to adjust the tensioner /Adjuster located beneath the alternator and proceeded to snap offthe long adjuster bolt. The whole adjuster mechanism is pretty rusty and I would like to replace it. Can someone tell me where to purchase this item. I tried several parts stores and they have no listing. They all tell me to go to the dealer, But should I go to the GM dealer, or is this a honda motor, and thus should be found at the Honda dealer??????? Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Art

Hi and welcome to the forum. If you live near a parts yard, the 93 to 96 Troopers all had the same alt parts, sohc or dohc. If you want to look up the parts yourself and request a quote from an Isuzu dealer, go to www.myisuzuparts.com. It is a free service to look up parts and illustrations.
Finally, there are several other sources with known good deals. I think for what you are looking for, the link below would be a good place to start to find out how much you may spend, and then what you really need to replace. Merlin there is real good about helping over the phone. Tell him you would like the internet discount if you decide to buy from them.
I know that the only difference between honda and isuzu is the badging for shared models so it would not hurt to check with a honda dealer, I just never have.
Good luck.
