Hi all, new to the board....I "think" I have an accelerator pump problem on my 1984 trooper with the 1.9L engine. Here is what happened with it. Was running fine all day, started it multiple times during the day and them the last time I tried to start it, it did start but shut off after only a few seconds. Tried again and it would turn over but not run. I could smell fuel so I removed the breather cover and tried again. My son noticed fuel coming out around the accelerator pump where the rubber grommet had come apart and it was a very substantial leak. Can this cause the problem I''m having and if so, is it hard to replace?
