98 trooper gas smell
 

have a strong gas smell. taken to shops and no visible leak. replaced intake gasket,, valve gasket and throttle body gasket. did not help. anyone have any experience with this problem.

have you checked your fuel lines and fuel filter? sometime the fuel filter can be damaged by road debris and the vapor escapes. my first course of action will be to check on the fuel filter which runs along the passenger side frame (if i remember correctly) also beware the fuel line can corrode and leak. it can also dry rot.
