Ok, so I have searched the forum and gone through all 25
pages of the Trooper posts. His my issue.

I have a 95 Trooper Limited with the 3.2L DOHC and about 115K
miles.

I started have some small issues about 2 months ago where it would be hard to
start. It would crank over just fine but would take longer than normal to
start. Then a couple of time it died while my wife was driving it in reverse.
Next it stopped starting all together.

My fist through was hey we just start getting that new E10 fuel here where I
live and I know that it may clog your fuel filter. So I replaced the filter (and
it was very clogged) and that fixed it for about a week. Then it died it again.
This time I noticed that the fuel pump was not kicking on when I turned the key
on. I replaced the fuel pump and it worked just fine for about 1 day then it
died again.

This time I called a Mobil repair guy to come look at it. He was able to get it
to start after playing with the relay. He swapped the horn and the fuel relays
(those are the same part numbers) and it started right up. So we thought maybe
it was the relay well the horn still works with the old fuel relay and now it's
not starting again.

He throughout the idea that maybe the security system on the car is disabling
it. It has the manufacture installed alarm system that I believe is tied into
the ECM. I called about 10 dealer ships and asked them and none of them
could give me a answer as to if that was truly possible and if so how to
resolve it. They would not even give me any ideas as to what the problem is.

So in the mean time I am left with a vehicle that still won’t start and am
about ready to push it off a cliff.

Any thoughts or ideas would be great.

Thanks

If you believe it is an alarm problem, you can reset the computer by:

this resets the computer and the alarm. I hope this helps.
