I have a 92 Trooper and I just started having problems starting the beast. The car will turn over but it just won't start sometimes. Sometimes I can get in and start it like nothing was wrong, other times it will just turn over and over and never start. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be, or at least a place I can start looking?

 

Does it fail to start when the ingine is cold. If yes, slowly pour a bucket of hot water on top of the engine. It works for me.

 

I think I solved the problem. My wife ran it with the gas light on for a couple of days. I think it picked up either water or some "gunk" out of the empty tank. I filled it up with some increased octane fule and it seems to be running fine now.
