90 Trooper trouble code problem
 

Hi Guys
I just bought a 1990 Trooper with the 2.8L V6. My issue is that I can't get the check engine light to flash the codes. I connected the two white with blue stripe wires under the ash tray but the check engine light don't respond at all. I know that the light works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a '92 Trooper. Not sure of the color of wires, but if you jump the 1st and 3rd connection in the three wire connector mine will show the flash codes.
