Default 86 Trooper has stumble while accelerating

My Trooper just started a problem where it will, while accelerating, start to putter and kind of jerk along. I have a hunch that it could be a dirty carbuerator or fuel filter. The stumble will cease when I have reached a cruising speed or I am going downhill. It is a light hesitation and the rpms do not drop. I bought the Trooper a few months ago, and all the spark plugs and wires seem to have been replaced. Any ideas?

What should i look for? If there is corrosion or carbon build up, should i replace the cap and rotor, or the entire distributor? Also, I have noticed engine shaking when I the truck is idling.

I would be looking for signs of moisture, or possibly a crack in the cap. If there are signs of either, I would repllace it.
This may or may not help, but it is where I would start.
