Default 2000 Trooper manual trans switches?

The rear one is back-up switch, right?
What is the front one?

If I am not mistaken it is a neutral safety switch for those people who forget to put their foot on the clutch pedal and start it in gear??

Turns out the front switch is for the Upshift circuit. Unfortunately the threads on the switch are smaller than than the Back up/ Reverse switch and I can't find a new one anywhere. I don't like the Upshift feature anyways so I just disconected the broken wire from the harness. Also removed related relays so US light does not come on. No problems.

Neutral Safety Switch is almost always on the clutch pedal itself but thanks anyways.

Hi Harry I want to say SORRY.
I was thinking of the older Troopers as they do not have the UP SHIFT light. And the engine starting switch is on the clutch pedal. I have no idea what I was thinking about. I think my head was up my rear when I sent this and have no idea why I did not look it up in the darn service manual.
