Hey guys, I got a quick question for you. My 2000 Isuzu Trooper keeps shutting off completely while I'm driving. I was told I need a new ECU. The dealer wants to charge me $800 for a new one but to be completely honest, that's close to 50% the value of the car.

I'd like to grab an ECU from a junk yard and swap it in myself. So my question is, if I find the correct ECU, can I just swap it with my old one myself, and be good to go? Has anyone done this before and could offer me some pointers?
