Hi, I have a 1988 "Isuzu Trooper II" that has the 2.6L I4 (4ZE1). For a number of years the Trooper has been in the garage and was not used. Just recently due the freeing of time it has been repaired and made road worthy. However the engine pings when at operating temperature and under stress (Such as climbing hills), I believe this may be a timing issue. As i went to adjust the timing I noticed the under-hood sticker is no longer in place and the manual does not list the correct degree of advancement. Therefore, I am asking if anyone could supply me with the correct timing figure so I can attempt to troubleshoot the pinging issue. Thank you for any help in advance.
