I never see anything about engine replacement or swappingfor Troopers. I have a SOHC 1995that is burning a lot of oil and needs some new seals, and would love to put one of those JDM motors in it but they all seem to be DOHC's. Is there any way to Swap to one of those DOHC's or am I stuck. The truck is relatively great shape except for the motor. (burns about 2 quarts between changes).

 

I have thought of this my self the only thing is you'll need a different wire harness, The only reason I say this is the motor has a completely different set up form the SOHC. I would also assume that you would need a new ECM. Sorry both are just assumption.
