Well folks,
it seems the alternator on my 93 trooper has gone out, but when I tried to remove it, it didn't seem to want to come out! Is there a trick to this? I removed both bolts on the front, and it was loose, but wouldn't come out, just pivot. Please help me out if you can, I need to get this thing running again! Thanks in advance.

BTW, its the 3.2 v6.

No tricks, two bolts, belt, wiring connections,They will get stuck at the piviot side, just have to pry it loose. Be aware, the new one might go in just as tight. There is a slide on the front side of the bracket to hold the alt tight when you tighten it, if you can move it towards the front when you get the old one out it will be easer to install the new one, but be careful not to BREAK the bracket.Good Luck.

Was it hard to get to?

Did you have to remove a bunch of belts?

Being that it is at the lower part of the engine some may think it is a little hard, but it is not too bad. You only have to take the belt off of the alternator unless you decide to replace the belt then you will have to remove them all.

Kina tricky.

Raise passenger front of vehicle and block/secure jack.

Remove front wheel.

Sit worself on a comfortable tool and have a couple ( 10mm 12"" and a pribar/large screwdriver handy) Almost everything is accessable there. It helps to have a Buddy avail to "guide" in upper bots.
