Hey can anyonebhelp me with lowering my 98 2wd trayback I tried to wind down the bolts I think is the torsion bar uneder the doors on an angle but the bolts won't budge does it need to be jacked up? Thanks guys

the best way i find to lower is to acctually reclock yhe torsion keys. there what the adjusting bolt goes threw then you can tighten the torsion bars to ther original seting and have the lowered stance but stock ride. also you maye need to spray the bolts with wd40 and yes jackit up to get the load off of them but once ther broke loose (they get coroded)you could set it back on the ground to adjust hight

Ok cool so some wd and Jack it up. What u mean by reclocking the torsion keys?

And also cutting bumpstops do u just cut the rounded end? Like with an angle grinder? Thanks heaps

the bump stops i cut them down with a hack saw. ok the torsion keys the part that the bolt goes threwif you look on the end it and the torsion bar is splined much like a vw bug i marked mine and turned it 4 notches then just put it bck to gether got almost 3 inches lift but you can go the opisit way and it will lower it. o and dont cut to much of ur bump stop as frame to frame is bad

The automotive torsion bar is an elongated spring used to hold up the vehicle's frame and dampen rough terrain. Torsion bars are used in cars or trucks where there is limited space for the vehicle's suspension. Normally, torsion bars are held to the frame and lower control arm with large, adjustable mounts.
