The voltage gauge has been fluctuating lately while driving..then when
I hit the gas pedal it hardly drove, ck transmission light
started flashing the radio was cutting on /off so i turned the radio
off...finally got it home...now it starts up but wont stay started
unless i keep my foot on the gas...voltage gauge is still acting
up....could this be the alternator

Could be alternator going out or possibly something else. There is a 'feature' built into isuzus that effectivly cut out the alternator when hard on the gas to cut down on the load at those times. Supposed to not do it when the headlights are on.
