URGENT HELP! 97 Rodeo shaking, almost stalling
 

So I just rebuilt my 4ZE1 and it's been running GREAT for the past 100 miles.

Now, I started it at night and it didn't sound well at all!

it's shaking, the idle speed is erratic and when I take off from a stop it almost stalls!

When I first started the car and felt the shaking, I adjusted the distributor just a bit and it fixed the issue...for about 2 minutes. I drove for 5 minutes, it just got worse and my temp SOARED to half of the gauge. I pulled over for 5 minutes and started, it ran fine...until 2 minutes later...

Keeping in mind it's currently cold enough that I have steam coming out of the pipe regularly, what could be going on here???
