transmission difference

whats the difference between a 1997-8 isuzu rodeo transmission and a 2001 isuzu rodeo transmission

1991-2003 Automatic- The GM 4L30E was used


Some early Rodeos used Borg Warner T-5 standard tranny and some used the MSG-5F, some call it a MUA Isuzu Tranny.


The AX15 Toyota Standard Tranny was used in some Troopers from 98 to 2002


NV1500 and NV3500 Standard units were used in the Hombre from 1996 to 2000

The difference between the years you asked about is that a few internals are different, the TCM is different and the wiring changed in either '00 or '01. The are both GM 4L30-E transmissions though.
