I have a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo LSE and just two days ago the gears started slipping. Anyone out there with same issues that could give me some pointers? It's going to a transmission place tomorrow. The under carriage had transmission fluid all over underneath, but mainly by the transfer box. Hope it's minor.

I also have fuel light issues and just recently found out I only need to replace the sensor and not the entire fuel pump.

Good Luck- I just took mine there and the whole transmission hand to be replaced because a seal on the side of the trans was leaking and ruined the trans. I also had the problem of my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo stalling when I stopped after it was warmed up and had been shut off once- it was the brain and had to be replaced. Now I have a bill of almost $4k (used transmission)and it has 115k miles on it. I don't think I would buy another Isuzu.

Thanks for the info. I acutally have a 2001...typo...I'm waiting now to hear what the problem is. I will let you know. When did you start to notice the lead, issues and how long before you took it to a specialist?

its called the accumulator piston cover.they all leak sooner or later on the newer trans.if you catch it early its a simple fix.part about 12 dollars.usaully the only way it can ruin the trans if someone kept driving when the trans started slipping.

Well it's not my transmission thank goodness! It was the servo and the seals broke and have to be replaced so it's costing me $350. They stated my transmission has not been damanged. It was a good thing I only drove it two days and had it towed or there would have been extensive damage done!
