My timing belt is due to be replaced (60K). My Rodeo has the 4 cylinder and there looks like there's plenty of room to work so I think I'm going to do this one myself. Is there anything I need to be aware of? I've never replaced a timing belt before but i've worked on motorcycles for about 25 yrs. Is there anything else I need to replace with the belt? Any advise would be appreciated. Todd H

Ok, So I took everything apart and replaced the timing belt. No big deal really. What stunned me was when I pulled off the front cover. Everything inside the engine had a GM label on it? WTF? A General Motors engine, I thought Isuzu was Japanese?

hopefully you replaced the t-belt with the isuzu one that has been updated, isuzu has a recall on timing belts for that engine, due to heat expansion, any other belt can break easily.also there is a new design tensioner an belt tightness procedure.
