I''mchanging the timing belt and tensioneron a friends ''94 Rodeo,3.2L. Because I have a ''96,I''m suppose to be the "expert"...hahah...

I am having difficulty understanding how to put back in the tensioner assembly. I see that the pusher is straight foward, bolt onto the face of the engine, leave the retainer pin in till im ready to apply tension. But, I don''t understand what the two little holes are for in the tensioner pully. The pencil lead diameter ones along side the hole that the bolt goes thru.

Also, what is the adjustment proceedure for the tensioner pully? I see that the bolt hole is eccentric. That must mean something?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I have read every post on the forum here related to timing belt replacement. I have a good idea on the proceedure, just not on installing the tensioner stuff.

I''ve never done one so not much help there but you can do a search on planetisuzoo.com and see if you find it there. If not then ask on there and you should get a quick response. That board is alot more populated then this one and lots of very knowledgeable and friendly ppl.
